As many as 276 six-year-olds started at the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses, of which 90 finished a clear first round. In the second phase, the fastest time was set by Angelos Touloupis (GRE) with Kannandillo (Kannan x Candillo).
The Greek rider overtook Susan Fitzpatrick (IR) with Keatingstown Mister Cool (Messenger) from the breeding farm of Paul Schockemöhle. Italian Stafano Falzini (Bluegiu, Benitus di Vallerano) completed the top three.
In the five-year-olds, there were 242 combinations, of which 99 went clear. The second qualifier will be run tomorrow. Saturday the finalists will have a rest day, Sunday there will be the grand final and we will know the world champions.
